Sustainable initiatives

A Sustainable Business

People are at the heart of everything we do. We’re not just a base camp, but a true community. Mobilizing, engaging, and collaborating are in our DNA.

By breathing new life into a century-old site, we’ve successfully combined heritage and sustainability to create a place that brings people together and has meaning.

Thank you to our team, our partners, and our volunteers who join us on this wonderful adventure.

Projects, donations and sponsorships

Pïllars of action

  • Community engagement
  • Sustainable project development
  • Strengthening local partnerships

Community engagement

We are truly involved in the community, working hand in hand with local and regional organizations. Our priority is promoting health and well-being by implementing initiatives to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for everyone. But we don’t stop there. We also work on several other fronts, and our “Grange aux Moines” hall is a venue that regularly hosts community solidarity events.

In short, our recent involvement

  • We supported and sponsored the Ultimate Challenge to raise funds for Let’s Bond and Educaide.
  • We donated $2,800 to TRàSH thanks to community engagement during the second annual Colour Run.
  • In 2024, we contributed over $5,000 in donations and sponsorships to local causes and organizations.
  • Once again this year, for the fourth edition of our Christmas market, we partnered with Moisson Mauricie to collect food donations.

A sustainable site

2800 du Parc emphasizes the preservation of built heritage. We used recycled materials and renovated a century-old barn, combining respect for the Doucet family’s history with sustainable practices. By reusing old structures and materials, we contribute to preserving local heritage while reducing our environmental footprint.

2800 History

Our sustainable initiatives in 2024

  • To encourage longer and more responsible stays, we’ve introduced a special offer with a third night at a reduced price.
  • By reusing materials from our century-old barn, we built the “Le Breton” rental center and a book exchange, thus contributing to the circular economy.
  • Water stations are available on-site for refilling reusable bottles, and we offer eco-cups to reduce plastic bottle consumption.
  • Our commitment to a sustainable site is also reflected in our infrastructure: four electric vehicle charging stations, eco-friendly logs in the accommodations, spaces decorated by local artists, and more.

Local Partnerships

Engaging locally is essential for us. We collaborate closely with local stakeholders to support the local economy and encourage sustainable practices.

Whether it’s co-developing products with local businesses, prioritizing sourcing from local suppliers, or showcasing the creations of local artisans and artists, each partnership helps us become more deeply rooted in our community.

A look back at our local collaborations

  • Our boutique features product collaborations with local businesses like Abaka, with its “Made in Shawinigan” natural fiber fabrics, and Savonnerie Belle à Croquer, which uses locally sourced raw materials.
  • Our restaurant regularly showcases the work of local artists.
